Donation Drives

In the Neighborhood Connection store, we have a number of items that we refer to as “evergreens” and “perennials.” These are the items that we try to have available either on an ongoing or seasonal basis for our client families because they are needed regularly. To ensure that we have an adequate quantity on hand, we hold donation drives throughout the year. Some of these are planned by businesses or organizations while others are held by Neighborhood Connection.

If you are considering a donation of newly purchased items for our store, looking to see what we are focused on collecting each month is a great way to select what to give. Items can be dropped off at our location during open hours.

January | “White Sale” – Blankets, sheets, and towels

February | Toiletries – shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothpaste, feminine products

March | Paper products – paper towels, facial tissue, toilet paper

April | “Spring Clean Up” – household cleaning products & laundry detergent

May | “Fun in the Sun” – sunscreen, bug spray

August | “Fill the Bus” – school supplies

September | Laundry detergent

October | “Socktober” and “Warm & Cozy” – socks, hats, gloves, mittens, winter coats

November | Electrical cords and holiday lights for recycling

December | Electrical cords and holiday lights for recycling
