Client Services Specialist (Spanish-speaking)
To better serve our Spanish-speaking clients, Waunakee Neighborhood Connection is adding to our team a client services specialist who is fluent in both Spanish and English. The staff member in this position will provide case management and oversee programs and services for Neighborhood Connection’s Spanish-speaking clients. They will also serve as the organization’s representative in relevant coalitions and organizations.
Waunakee Neighborhood Connection is a social service agency that supports individuals and families in the Waunakee school district and Village & Town of Dane who are experiencing financial insecurity. Programs include a Community Store (free), case management & referrals, vehicle repair assistance, Build-a-Bed, scholarships, and holiday programs. Our office is a fast-paced and fun environment that involves regular interaction with clients, volunteers, and community donors. We have COVID safety restrictions in place for onsite interactions and accommodations for remote interactions.
Requirements for the position include having both speaking and writing fluency in Spanish and English; having a bachelor’s degree in human services or social work preferred, OR a combination of training, education and/or experience that can be demonstrated to result in possession of knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position; and having two years of applicable experience including social work, case management, social services coordination, community outreach, or a similar field.
This is a part-time position that will average 10-15 hours per week. The compensation range is $22-$24 per hour. Hours are somewhat flexible with some Wednesday evening and Saturday hours required to work with clients when our Community Store is open.
